Maximized Mind

Negativity and stress can prevent you from growing stronger mentally. Changing your vantage point can help you handle stress and even motivate you.

Your Maximized Living doctor can coach you through different strategies to help you eliminate negative thoughts so you can make lasting, positive changes in your life.

Overcoming limiting beliefs

Your beliefs have been programmed in you throughout your life, but you can change them with a little bit of effort.

Limiting beliefs are roadblocks: false ideas you have about yourself that make progressing harder than it needs to be. They prevent you from achieving what you want in life.

Have you ever wanted want to change something about yourself, but you kept going back to your old habits? Do you wonder why?

Maybe it wasn’t laziness or a lack of discipline. Maybe it was a limiting belief, a roadblock. One thing is for sure: The answer to your problem isn’t starting another fad diet or self-help program.

You need to identify your limiting beliefs, then overcome them.

Examples of limiting beliefs:

  • “I can’t afford to eat that way.”
  • “My parents had to take these medications, now so do I.”
  • “I’m too old to _______.”
  • “I’m not a healthy or successful person.”
  • “I’m lazy and I hate to exercise.”
  • “I’m a procrastinator."
You act in accordance with your belief system whether those beliefs are true or not. The key is to pinpoint and eliminate the subconscious beliefs that interfere with you getting from where you are to where you want to be.

Limiting beliefs often hide in your mind’s blind spots, meaning you don’t even realize you have them.

In our clinic, we use advanced workshops and questionnaires to help you identify these beliefs so you can revolutionize your mind.

Positive self talk

Limiting beliefs are formed by the way you think.

This is called self-talk.

Self-talk is the internal conversation you have with yourself all day long. Your subconscious records this conversation without putting up an argument. If you constantly tell yourself that you are fat, your subconscious will begin believe that you are fat.

You can reprogram your beliefs about yourself with consistent, positive affirmations. If you are what you say you are, then say everything positively!

Criteria for writing these affirmations:

  1. Personal
  2. Positive
  3. Indicative of Achievement
  4. Action Words
  5. Specific

Examples of Positive Affirmations:

  • “I thrive in my daily jogging because I feel healthy, strong and energetic.”
  • “I am accountable for the results of my decisions and actions.”
  • “I develop feelings of respect and self-esteem in myself and others.”

Be sure to write down your affirmations. It is important to repeat them aloud every day. Over time, you will replace bad habits and limiting beliefs with the goal-driven self-confidence to become the person you want to be.

The Big Why

Everybody needs to know why. Why do I want to change? What is my motivation?

Looking good isn’t a big enough reason. Staying healthy to spend more time with your children is.

To find your big why, you must search your heart and mind to determine the most compelling reason for you to take control of your life and health. When you find your big why, repeat it daily to cement it into your belief system.

Remember these basic principles to maximize your mind. You will believe that success is just around the corner.
